Are the core's supposed to be so different regarding temperature?

CPU is under a XP-90C with AS5 clocked to 2.5GHz using default volts and the idle temps using "core temp" are 44°C and 34°C full load is 59°C and 51°C, I've reseated the HS twice now and have the same results.

Is this normal? Core temp wrong? Smart Guardian reports CPU temp as 40°C PWM IC as 52°C and chipset as 46°C

I'm confused :confused:
 
Core 1 is only 2-3 degrees hotter on mine. Possible the IHS contact on the core isn't perfect on core 1 :confused: @2.7ghz 31 and 36 degrees idle.

Not sure, but there is no clear answer on tinternet.

Some say like you poor IHS contact, others say they have popped theirs and still have temp difference. Other people say the sensors just arn't accurate, others say that only core #1 sensor is calibrated and core #0 isn't (this one makes sence)

My X2 is running stock at the moment (psu is off for an RMA holiday) and Core 1 is 30C idle and core 2 is 33C. That's with a Ninja and an akasa amber 120mm on it. but.... but... no case fans running at the moment, I ran out of molex plugs!! stupid old 400w psu. I usually have another 3 120's going and the idle temps stay the same as i'm getting now, 'cept i'm running at 2.75ghz. When dual priming and overclocked (with the case fans) i get 48-50C core 1 51-53C core 2.
Seems mines behaving. If you're feeling brave take off the lid on your cpu :rolleyes:
 
My single core @ 3.0ghz runs cooler than them duel core efforts do`nt think i will bother,for the OP try re-seating you cooler again as you are doing something wrong ;) its all about the tech-pc ya know hahahahah
