well this is not the first time i've read that people are successfully overclocking dual core athlons., but i've got a 4800+ and can not get it past 2.5mhz. i've followed all the instructions i've found here and other sites, but no joy.
but to answer the mans original question, get the dual core. they are brilliant. i can be rendering video and running loads of other programs as well with only a small slowdown.
