Amidar said:On the Expert & Venus you need to add 8-10c to whatever smart guardian is telling you as the temp sensor on these boards is a mile out.If you go into bios and under health monitoring it lets you alter the temp sensor so it's best to add 8-10c then it will read correct in smart guardian.
What temp reading are we meant to be looking at though. In speedfan, I have 3 that could be the proper reading, I have Temp 1, Temp 2, and Core. The first 2 being around 40C load and the 3rd at 30C. Which do I read as the correct, true core temperature?Type_R said:I think all those thinking that those temps arent correct, need to get themselves a X2 4800+! Mine, after hours of gaming, sits at 36C with a mobo temp of 34C checked by hardware monitor onboard the mobo and various software.
It is one fine cold chip! Mine is cooled by an XP120!
