x2 939 overclock reduces performance

i have a dfi nf4 ultra d and a 4600+. the more I overclock, the lower my 3dmark 05 scores get, and the longer my superpi time gets. any ideas anyone??
there are big differences. at 2.5ghz i got 9k 3dmarks and at 2.7ghz i got 6k 3d marks, also superpi time goes from 33ish to over 1minute

Disable cool n quiet, im guessing its throttling

you're sorta right

i found a thing in the bios called thermal throttle after reading your post. thanks for the help

if it throttling because its getting too hot you may need to check your temps on load and see if more cooling is needed.

hmm. cpu fan never goes on full unless im giving cpu over 1.55volts, and the full speed threshold is 50degrees.
