X³: The Reunion

ok
a) captured ships will have no guns (most likely) so getting it to follow you around is usedless.
b) use the command consol to get it to dock (navigation - dock at - ) the shipyard in argon prime.
c) Profit!

Lovely, thanks for the info :)

On these guides I've been looking at they give various locations to unmanned ships etc... They're really small numbers. Would they be in kilometres cause I can't figure out how to get to the very centre

Yeah, they're in kilometers. They'll appear on your sensors when you get close enough.

The best 'free' ship is the Nova sitting in the unknown sector two south of Maelstroem.

Rubbish! ;) The best freebie ship is the Mamba Raider - decent lick of speed, mass driver in the rear turret (after you buy one) to cover your bottom from missiles, and 4x HEPT and you're laughing ;) Only 25MJ shield though, so you'd best be good at strafing.

I haven't played this game in ages... Really thinking of picking it up again now.

Finally got back into playing X3 again. I forgot how totally addicting it is :D

7 Game days in atm. Got 4 stations setup (wheat farm in home of light, sun oil refineries in ceo's buckzoid and teladi gain, and a flower farm in greater profit all with haulers to buy/sell the goods, except the wheat farm that sells out before 100 units are made lol) Plenty of vulture haulers/mercury haulers for them and 3 universe traders running at the moment. I actually hate UT's they always fly into pirate sectors and get themselves killed, even with jumpdrives. Stations with haulers with limited buy/sell range and armed guards if near a pirate zone is much cooler.

Currently got 3 million credits and rising nice and steady, im saving up for a 1mj Shield factory for argon prime or a solar plant for Seizewell. Not tried to build a complex yet so im not gonna bother for the time being, ill settle for lots of independant stations until i need the big piles of creds for a TL/M1/M2 eventually. 86% of the way to the standing required to fly both argon and teladi M6/M3's although i want the Teladi M6 more, looks awesome and can fit 4x 125mj Shields.

Khaak and Xenon are starting to make an appearance around teladi space so things are starting to heat up a little. :D

Why is it most shipyards rarely stock the 'L' ships? I find there's always 10 of the small, sometimes medium, and yet 0 of the large ones... Gets quite annoying!

And UT's get you more cash than stations. I haven't lost a single trader yet so far either :s I got about 12 UT's flying about.

Only specific shipyards sell the L versions, if you look about on the egosoft forums there is an .xml file somewhere with all the ship data you need. And UT's are a good source of income but quite unreliable, as they have a habit of jumping into pirate sectors, but just you wait till you get some decent space weed/fuel complexes going up. The money will come rolling in, and you won't have to worry so much about them being destroyed, and you can sit outside and scan the buying ships, mark them as pirates, and either kill them and pick up your goods, or they'll drop them and run. Either way you get race rep, and is quite amusing

What are the bugs at the mo, been a while since I played it, i had wiped it off with discust with the ammount of bugs it had

The M7 is pretty bad ass. 2 front turrets capable of mounting GPSG and 2 rear turrets that can mount BPSG. Plus it can dock 2 fighters.

As good as the M7 is it cant compare to a Python though.

Pretty ugly ship isnt it?
Whats the 'point' in the ship anyway? The M3s are heavy fighters, M4s medium, M5 normal, M6 are mini-crusiers, ect; Whats the purpose of the M7?
(I dont have the game installed to check out all this.)

The M6 is almost useless as a class so I guess this evens the balance a little. It has a lot of firepower and good shields so gives some redress to playing with just M3s for so long, it takes soooo long to get the rep to buy capital ships that its a nice gift from the Devs.

It fills the big gap from the M6 to the battleships.
Think of it as a frigate :) and its very sweet!
