the low power 9150e (1.8ghz) & 9350e (2.0ghz) chips also came out today consuming 65w, which should be the cheapest quad cores you can get, and should be good for giving extra grunt to htpcs in the future.

Guess due to the lack of Intel Core architecture nobody cares... :(
I'm looking for the 9350e or maybe even the 9150e but I'm really wanting a new 790FX mobo with an SB that isn't ****... (SB600)

I'm hoping that the lower ends have some mild clocking potential.

Damn you intel lol skulltrial is too much money i want quad gfx which can only be had with a phenom without selling my misses on fleabay!

You would think ocuk would stock all the new hardware asap, but meh, ill wait -_-

Does anyone have any news on when we'll see these in UK retailers? *searches*

Edit: Have seen some 9950's for pre-order, pricing doesn't seem too bad. :)

the x2 4850e's can hit 3ghz oc'ed, but the 9350e wont be that good, maybe up to around 2.7ghz according to 1 review.

the 9950 has been hitting 3.1+ghz

I'd be quite happy having a Phenom at 2.6/2.7, I really need a decent high-end motherboard to be released though. :(

wait for the 790fx with sb750 southbridges, with the additional connections between the southbridge and the am2+ cpu (this part is vendor optional, so the lower end boards that pair these might not have it) which should increase overclocking on the high end BE phenoms. they should be coming soon.

I'm just waiting for the new mobos with the new southbridge to arrive then It's a new system for me. I'm quite surprised OcUK haven't got at least a few of these in stock..
