X4 9950 Where are they gibbo??

Bwahahaha, they're surely having a laugh!? They've been available for far far cheaper than that for about a week now.

9850 price is fair nice though.

£132 sounds about right given their price drop to make way for the 9950. The 9950 was meant to appear at the same price as the 9850 was. Some other retailers have added the 9950 at the right price but haven't dropped the price on the 9850.
 
The Phenom 9950 seems to be doing well as it is on SB600. SB750 is supposed to have some sort of clock calibration feature if I recall correctly, which is meant to prevent stability issues in some overclocked scenario's? Looking forward to see if it helps at all, if not for that but also to see how the new SB's RAID and USB performance is.

i got 3.0-3.1ghz but thats air cooling.. on water it'll be able to get higher..

on the reviews u seen are they using water? cos i don't think it'll get to 3.7ghz on air not even 3.3ghz.

Core to duo is dual core, 9950 is Quad Core & 3.7 is more than what your chip in your sig is doing :)
Or are you saying its OK for intel quad to not clock to Core to duo level but AMD Quad must clock to Core to duo level to be even looked at ? Double standards maybe.

Such a shame they've ramped the 9850 pricing up to make it look like their 9950 price is justified.
Must be one of the only CPU's to get a price hike when a higher end part comes out...
