Im planning on getting an upgrade monday, and Ive been researching most of the information the last few months, well I build up my money. The only thing I cant decide on is the motherboard. The ones I have interest in are...

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7
Asus P6X58D Premium

Now, Ive read that the UD5 has issues, like the coldboot issue, the asus P6X58D isn't that good with build quailty compared to the gigabyte ones, which really puts me of getting one but is better for overclocking that the UD5, so I pretty much decided to go for the UD7, but is it worth the money? I cant find many people opinions on it.

Any advice?

You will read a lot of negative stuff about most boards as no one comes on here to say im happy with my mobo :D
Well actully i am i have never had 1 problem with UD5 there thing i dont like but never a problem. On that note if you have thought at all going xfire now or the future keep clear of the U5 the spacing a terrible compared to the asus.

The UD5 no longer has the coldboot issue with bios F9 & upwards.

I read about that on a review, and I'm considering doing crossfire, sometime in the future. So the best bet is to go for the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7? Hopefully I shouldn't have any problems. My last(and first) build, I had problems getting it to post, and it worries me. Since I'm spending almost double on this build :p

I'm also getting an i7 920, Corsair 6GB Ddr3 memory and a xfx 5870, will my coolermaster real power 620w power it? Im pretty sure it wll. Its an sli/crossfire PSU for say, two 9800GT's, so could I just use the only 2 PCIe power cables for the 5870?

If you can afford it go with the UD7, great looking boards and I've all ways read good things about them. Id think your psu would cut it but when you get round to going CF a new one will be needed :p. Enjoy your build

Im going for that, and I did a PSU test, It will cut it, just no major overclocking yet :(

Also, thanks, I cant wait for monday now :D
