hiya guys
I have clocked my pc to 3.4 using gear in my sig
however lasy couple of days been getting random bsod`s all giving different codes/reasons.

then it wouldnt boot, then it tried to instsll bios from hdd on its own then.

Then it would look like its booting but no output to monitor so couldnt check. I cleared cmos no change took gpu to a mates but he is on agp so no pci-e. came back and tried it again pc booted no probs. ok time to re clock all ok then realised i hadnt changes the pci-e speed too 100 so changed it then comp wouldnt boot/ no output to monitor couldnt fix it that night so left it

came to it this am turned it on booted as normal.

So

is my gpu on its way out?(was hoping to last till G92)

Is my MB causing the fault?

Does my gpu have some sort of thermal protection that take hours to reset??

cheers guys

P.s. I know its about time i changed it anyway

Update

OK getting worried now I have just gone into programs in start menu and its told me i have new programs installed hhmm I thought went to look and about a dozen programs that aint new are highlighted.

really confused hope its not hdd

No been clocked for couple of weeks now all running ok. i did however replaced my psu and my ram for stuff in my sig last week but that went ok nothing straight away did some benching. the card was cheap and is 2 yrs old so am expecting it to go just want to be sure it is first.

I`m not getting any artifacts or anything.
the comp has been on all day so far and no probs but i bet if i turn up the pci-e to 100 again it will go straight away. and wont come back on for a couple of hours

I luuurve answers like that. :p

I went to the dr once and said it hurts when i do this, its hurts when i do that and it hurts when i do this the dr said dont do it then. since then no probs GREAT. :D

I thought it was as its in the sticky. Glad its ok

I`ll re do the rest of the clock again apart from the pci-e thing and see how it goes

cheers

lol if the system was running ok until you set the pcie frequency to 100 then it seems an uneccesary setting to tinker with if its causing system instability, if you must, try 101 and if its still unstable leave it at Auto or whatever it was before and be happy :).

the system was stable until the other day then on its own started bsod. then after a couple of hours it booted back up all ok so went into bios re applied OC but forgot the pci-e hike it ran ok until i then re did the pci-e that had previously (last couple of weeks) worked.

thats why i think its the card rather than settings its as if something has taken a battering over the last few weeks and now wont take it anymore.
