x800 vs 2400 pro

Right, currently sitting in my old shuttle I have my old faithful x800 xl 512MB. If I want to use this as a media player will I be better of keeping it or getting a cheap card like this 2400 pro?

If its not any better what is roughly its equivalent?

for games the x800xl would be better, but for all the stuff a media centre pc does i would get that 2400pro.
