x800 vs 6800GT

X800pro, better image quality from the red card ;)
Even if according to 3dmark etc it might be slightly slower.
It all depends on whether you want a more e-penis orientated card or one with better quality.

Oh and the X800pro is a nicer looking card :)
 
The IQ issue with ATI and NVIDIA is rubbish. I owned an X1800XT and a 7800GTX and there was no difference what so ever in image quality.

but they are a different generation of cards. for what's it worth i'm happier with the iq of my x800gto over my old 6800gt. but that's only my opinion of course.... :)

I may be misunderstanding your post, but its not a 6800GT, its a 6800 unlocked to a GT.

It does have 4 more pipelines than the x800pro, but only half the memory at 128Mb.

i bought an X800GTO 256mb and already have a 6800GT 256mb and was cheesed off that i paid soo much for the 6800GT when the X800 can pretty much keep up with it for about £100 less than when i bought it. so in my opinion the X800 is worthy but not faster. Depends how much online willy waving you wanna do like someone said :p

x800pro unlocked or not, gddr3 and all
 
6800, even if its not unlocked. In its day the two were head to head with each other pretty much, and in 75% of games the 6800 would come out on top.

Also, a 6800 for willy waving? maybe a year and a half ago, but nto now.
