decided to scrap the water loop for now

and put the money into a new build with x99

just wondering what others think to this build ?

save money and get a 1150 haswell board, ddr3 at 2133 and an i7 4790

no need to upgrade atm.. why not get a z97 board and then get a broadwell i7 when its released?

Broadwell is due out in the first half of 2015. I don't think there are any definite dates yet.

Why do you want to upgrade ? The system in your sig is still very good, and you won't see any benefit going for an i7 if you are just gaming.

It's not really a upgrade more of a new system

so I can pass my other system to my Mrs haha

Silly choice with the build you currently have, X99 is exciting and all but too early to adopt if you want it for gaming IMO.
