I'm wanting to get an XB1 *I might wait for the rumoured slim model* but I'd like to upgrade the HDD to an SSD if possible.

Can it be done like the PS4 or is it all sealed away ?

And also will it be possible to run the XB1 on the ROG Swift ? I know it will only be at 60Hz with no G-Sync etc... but with a DP to HDMI adapter can it be done ? I ask as I don't own a TV and don't want to fork out for one just for a console :p

Any info is appreciated :)

Only official XO storage upgrade path is to use a fast external USB 3.0 drive. Not sure if a SSD in a USB 3.0 caddy would work, but the actual drive the console ships with is sealed away in the console with no easy access like the PS4 (although not impossible).

An adaptor should work with the ROG, but won't the image be stretched horribly as the monitor is running at a higher resolution natively than 1080p?

Thanks for the info, The image stretching shouldn't be an issue as a friend of mine runs his XB1 on a 4K TV and the XB1 just downscales to 1080P :)

I would have thought the 4K TV would handle scaling differently though, and a 1080p source like the XO would look "normal".

A monitor tends to just work well at one particular res. no?

Not really, I can set the res of my monitor to 1080P and it looks just fine :)
