Right a local GAME has some premium bundles but the games aren't really what i want, i've read on here about people taking games back and getting their value and keeping the console?

Just wondering if anyone could let me know if this is true / how it works and if they definately have to do it.

I'm not sure if they've changed the terms and conditions or not but I bought a bundle and took all the games back for a full refund.

Just checked the terms and conditions for you, nothing appears to have changed.

Please note items bought in 'bundle deals', such as 2 for 30.00 GBP or hardware and software packs, if returned separately, will result in the full price being charged for other items in the special offer - and the refund adjusted accordingly.

That's the only paragraph to be aware of really.

just take it in and say u want to trade it, ull only probs get £25-30 a game so that they can then sell it off as A) brand new again for £45-50 or B) Pre-owned for £45-50 lol

They dont give u money tho but u can ask for it to be put onto a gift card so u can use it back in store :)

I did this just yesterday with king kong and got £25

IM not so sure they are doing this quite so willingly now, in the early days they were but Ive heard of more and more peoplpe having a hard time recently.

Personally, Id go in and explain that you had spoken to their customer services centre and been informed that you did not have to buy a bundle, but would like a premium with PGR3. They are more likely to say ok to that.

You could obivously buy the bundle, then attempt to return them and if they same you cant, return the lot.

Have you actually asked if they would sell the console on its own, I bought a core on its own from my local Game and I know someone who has bought a premium on its own there, I cant understand why certain Game stores force sell in bundles and some dont.

Does anyone know if Game is a franchise? as that would be the only explanation for it really.

OK thanks everyone i will give it a go, i want some games though but i do not want the games on offer, king kong etc

i was gonna go for bundle with three games for £369.

They cannot refuse you if you want to return the games. It's in their terms and conditions.

They are also entitled to sell you the console on it's own if you ask them to. If they have a problem with that ask them to speak to game.net customer services.

When i got mine last Tuesday i could have got the Premium on its own, but seen as its no good without games i got a bundle with PGR3, Condemned, and King Kong, 3x cracking games. :)

Right, thing is my mum whos gonna go get it and stuff as she works in the town but shes telling me the guy who works at game (manager/worker) is really bad and she doubts he would refund the games if we tried. But if its definately in there terms and conditions he will have to do it i suppose,

it's just he offered my mum prem+ king kon + condemed + any game of choice so really i might only need to take back king kong and condemed not sure if i want it.

Thats the bundle i picked up, PGR3 was the game of my choice, i don't know why you would'nt that bundle to be honest, Condemned and King Kong are both cracking games, you can get another cracker of your choice to.

I don't want king kong, i was probably gonna choose pgr3 .. but im not sure of condemed.

Macca, i'd just go for that bundle to be honest. At the end of the day at the very worst you'll be syuck with one game you don't want as I havent heard a bad word said about condemned (apart from it being a bit short). You could always stick it on MM or the bay but you might as well try it first.

I sold Amped 3 without playing it as I thought i'd get more for it if it was still sealed, as it turns out I might have well played it and sold it as second hand for £2 less than I got for it.

My local Game would only sell me a premium bundle with 10 games  Might have been able to take them back but I left it and picked one up 2 days latter from Toys R Us which to be fair was quite a poor bundle with no option of returning any of the games or the fantastic "Bend It Like Becham" DVD that ended up costing me £12 or something ridiculous :(

Totally agree, King Kong and Condemned are excellent.

I have had two premium packs and 1 core on Game bundles. Each time I had taken the games back for a refund and shifted the 360s online for £££.

The first two i got, the games were sealed so no probs there and because the woman who served me had messed up and discounted of the 360 and not the games I got a full refund for the games and the 360 cost me £250. The last 360 premium I got, the games were all unsealed and PGR3 had blatently been used. Still got a full refund though. I also made £40 on reward points and these wern't taken off for the returned games.

I bought another premium pack from Game yesterday (too keep) and they didn't need to sell the bundles so a straightforward £279.

When I bought mine last night I was under the impression that Kong would be rubbish - Im actually enjoying Kong more than Condemned at the moment!

Same, I never touched King Kong for nearly 2 weeks, I was really complaining about having it (bundle deal @ Argos) and thought I should try it... ended up getting past the repetition at the start and ended up enjoying it. There's been 2 sections in the game where it's EXACTLY like playing FMV. Stunning.

Yeah i wasn't gona bother with it as i could'nt get to grips with using the joy pad for it, as i much prefer mouse/kb for those types of games, but after a bit of playing i got used to it, and enjoying it as well, its a pretty good game. :)

The gfx are great, i was watching a guy playing it in HMV one day, and this huge T-Rex appeared, looked class. :D
