Xbox 360 controller issue

Hi all

My missus uses a Xbox 360 controller to play games on PC and has no issues for months until yesterday... She unplugged it halfway through a game and now its not working at all... plugging it back in, restarting PC, Disabling and enabling it but no joy....

Any suggestions please as she is useleas with the keyboard and mouse

Dead usb port? You tried alternative ports?

Started the PC up today and its working again, Same USB port :confused:

Driver issue at a guess, had similar issues with my pc

I had a feeling it may have been a driver issue

Can I ask if you're using an original 360 controller? I've got 3 wireless ones and I fancied using one on my PC for GTA etc but you can't seem to get the adapters anymore

Yeah the original 360 one i use with the cable.. I used to have the Copper Edition xbox one controller but sold it... that was wireless
