XBOX 360 controller...it's rubbish

Let me get this stright, a game for the Xbox 1 and its controller doesn't work so well on the 360 and its controller? NO DUH! If you are that bothered, play it on an Xbox 1.

After all, it is hardly the fault of the 360's controller, which IMHO, is really good.

I dont buy into the 'it was made for the Xbox 1 so of course it wont play right on the 360' argument.

If you think about it, PES was probably designed with the PS Dual Shock in mind, so it stands to reason that it should actually be better with a 360 pad than an original Xbox pad (being that the designs are relatively close in layout)

Thats how I see it anyway :p

Haven't read all the replies but this is the FIRST post I've seen since the launch of the 360 that has criticised the controller!!

Thats not the case. When they made the game for the xbox, they could change the button asignments, layout, tweak the sensitivity etc. They can't do that in this case, and so, as usual, it is always going to be better on the original.

I prefer the 360 controller to the original xbox in all games so far, bar tiger woods, where i just find it nigh on impossible to put any serious power boost on shots and still shape the shot without terribly hooking/slicing it.

my main worry so far is that the controllers or at least the analogue sticks don't seem that robust, as my right one is quite loose now (it moves in and out of the pad quite a bit) which i solely blame on FN3 and its total punch control system, could get expensive replacing pads every year.

But the functions of the B&W buttons on the original Xbox were far more suited to shoulder buttons, like on the PS version.

Thats why I think its better with the 360 pad.

The 360 controller was a step in the right direction, but its no gamecube controller...

The gamecubes genius was in making the 4 main buttons different sizes and shapes, so much nicer imo, though i know there's plenty of people that'll disagree.

When you pull your swing back tap either the black or white (can't remember which one now). The white ball in the bottom right should fill up red then swing forward as normal.

I've played only the PC version - none of this boost rubbish :)

It only adds say an extra 30 yards onto your shot.

It is very useful for getting to the greens in one on par 4's though.

I went through one game with 12 eagles and the rest birdies.

I took 42 shots on a 72 shot course
