Well I just came across this new PC gizmo which is made my Microsoft and i've not heard of it before and its being released in 15 days time

It seems that its an wireless adaptor for any Xbox 360 wireless accessories that can now be use on your PC buy just buying this for £11.99, not sure if it can be bought cheaper as i've not looked anywhere eles as of yet but i think its a great little bargian for £11.99 if you can use your pads , hands free headset and steering wheel :D

Did a forum search and nothing came up so thought it would make a great thread as i've not seen this mentioned anywhere and its out in 15 days time.

I noticed windows update in vista had an update for the xbox 360 controller drivers. I have no idea what it did (no visible difference) but maybe it was related..

yes if it's anything like the wired one (you can plug the headset into the wired controller and it just acts as a usb microphone / speaker device). It will probably take over from the speakers by default as well but that's easy to change.

Any idea about x64 support?

(Yes, I'm one of those awkward buggers that run XP x64 Edition :p)

Almost certainly work on x64 (I'm on x64 too) I think because of Vista 64bit out now.

Yeah it will deffinetly work on x64 seen as Msoft are forcing people to make both x86/x64 drivers for them to be certified. Be stupid if they didnt do there own

Many devices which have Vista x64 drivers don't have drivers for XP x64 :( and you'd be surprised at how many Microsoft-made items don't have XP x64 drivers...!

*BUMP*

Just picked up a couple of wireless pads, and my Crossfire Receiver is in the post apparently. Will let you know what its like when it arrives (and assuming it actually works on XP x64!).
