Xbox 360 Dashboard Update all the new features Listed

I doubt £5 will be the only price we will see for a rental. If people arent willing to pay that much for it the price will come down, the prices will be just to test the waters and they will eventually be lowered (if people refuse to cought up).

Better to start high and lower the price then start low and increase the price since people wouldnt stand for it :p

£5 is no biggy for a hi-def film rental for me tbh, I'll be plugging my 360 into my projector so it'll be worth it, I personally have never downloaded a High definition film off the Internet and I don't intend do.
That's fair enough, if you're happy to pay that amount then good for you. I would still prefer to rent for half that price though :)

Doesn't look quite right to me.. it just looks like Xvid support was shoved in there, and there's no New infront of it.
Yep that's the point I was making, it doesn't look right, they would have made more of it, not just 'shoved it in' without any explanation etc

They won't drop the price, perhaps when the films get too old nobody wants them yes, but otherwise it'll stay the same.

The thing is, the fact that they are releasing these games as downloadable, would imply they might tweak the back compat for them as well so they run a little better. I mean, what else did people think? That they would be re-compiled for the 360?

If xvid support is added that is a huge thing. I wonder if any other formats will be added, especially high def formats?

What we expect is for them to run without any glitches and in native widescreen, not much to ask for.

sorry I don't mean to keep countering your posts but you do release that the 360 is built on completely different architecture/hardware to the original xbox, so they are having to get the games to work via software emulation, thats not an easy thing to do, I'm surprised the current working titles work as well as they do tbh.

seems silly that the games are going to be unoptimzed. surely people will just buy them from a shop and get them cheaper and still get the same experience.

I understand what you're saying but as they are re-releasing these games then they can, at the same time, make some small changes to improve them. Afterall, they are charging us a tenner for games we already have. These changes should be easy to implement and take into account the emulation situation. I'm only asking for native widescreen support and no glitches in Halo, no a total graphical upgrade :)

Edit - Countering is fine btw, that's what this place is all about :)

If they were not tweaking the old games/adding achievements, the catalogue would be much bigger.

If you already have the games, why would you buy them again from Xbox Live, surely you can play the old XBox Games on the 360 ;)

This list is old, and with no actual confirmation of that list it is still only internet speculation.

Fail.

I thought this was posted a month or two ago and was quickly shot down then. Some of the features on it though have started to show there heads since, like the IPTV thingy.

Pirates of the Caribbean was 40Gig on Blu Ray, tis kinda off putting. :D

Live via USA market place required 9 hours for a movie when i tested it earlier in the year.
