alreet lads and lasses, havent been about for a bit because obv i have just started uni, just popping in for a quick question

theres 2 xbox 360s in our flat, and we keep winding each other up by using the controllers that are wireless to turn on the other xbox in the middle of the night lol, its freaky when it 1st happened

anyway is there anyway i can stop it rather than unplugging it all the time

cheers

Only option is to turn your 360 off at the wall I think. I know there's an option to block out the Media Centre remote, but I haven't seen anything about the controllers.

i'm sure i remember reading somewhere u can lock the controllers to ** system so that say some your neigbour has 360 it doesnt interfer with yours .

I thought the controllers "paired" with the console anyway?

ie you have to press the "connect" buttons on both pad and console before you can use them together?

Setting up the controller to play for the first time takes slightly longer than normal. Firstly, you’ll need to insert two ‘AA’ batteries (included) into the rear slot and snap it shut. Secondly, you’ll need to assign the controller a specific number between one and four corresponding to the player number. This is done in order to lock each of the controllers to your specific console so that you don’t accidentally start taking over your next door neighbour’s Xbox 360. This designation process isn’t explained in any great detail by the manual, and whilst pretty self-explanatory, may cause people some confusion as to what they are meant to be doing when starting up for the first time.

That's what I thought, so I don't see how they're managing it.

Probably going into each others rooms and assigning the controller manually.

I think they know how to set their controllers up, that's the point of the problem I believe, they're setting them to turn the others 360 on.

Well yeah, but why not just turn the thing on whilst you're in there? Seems rather silly.

Pffftt, students ! :D
