i have a speedtouch 576 wireless router, and it seems to be blocking me joining friends games. keeps coming up with cannot connect to server. although i still can manually search for games and join any other ones. on my xbox live connection test it keeps coming up with "NAT" Strict, which i believe needs to say open. how do i go about changing this. my current setup is my PC is wireless, and the 360 is routing through the PC via cross over cable to get onto live. i have phoned AOL and they have said they have no idea basically.

any one know of these issues and how to correct them?

cheers

You need to set the 360 to use a static IP (manually define an IP on it instead of DHCP) and then put this IP in the "DMZ" option in your router config pages.

i dont see a DMZ option, what kind of settin would this be under

Port Forwarding, Virtual Hosts, stuff like that.

It should describe it in the manual if you can't find it on the config pages...which router is it?

Instead of the DMZ option you might very well get away with just forwarding TCP/UDP 3074, that sorted out my problem. I have read about the need for either TCP or UDP 88, but I know I didnt need it. Also turn off UDP flood protection if you are still having problems.
