I recently got a wired xbox360 pad for windows and it works great in games like GTA IV and other games that are ported from the consoles or come with GFWL.
But to unlock the pads true functionality, the ability to split the trigger axis, set the D-Pad as individual buttons and other more advanced setups, you need to install the custom drivers known as XBCD. Getting the custom drivers installed and working under windows 7 itself is a bit of a faff, but in doing so you lose that great plug and play ability on GFWL games like GTA IV. The pad itself is great, loads of buttons and loads of axis, but the software is a real step down compared to what Saitek offer with their controllers.
Just wondering if anybody has any previous experience with this, is there any way to have the unlocked functionality of XBCD drivers while still keeping the plug and play ability of the default Windows drivers?
Or does anybody know of a way to quickly load and unload both sets of drivers?
