Xbox 360 - Ps3 - Online

PC would be better with a Live like service.
Maybe, but if it means paying a silly amount for access to dedicated servers then I would disagree, the only thing PC online lacks is voice chat, but it's becoming more and more common and keyboard chat certainly does well, it's what I used back in the World of Warcraft days for the majority of the game. (aside from guild ventrilo)

I enjoy both Live and PSN, Live has more of a reactive feel to it and it's obvious it's been around and successful for as long as it has. But the community is exactly the reason why I prefer PSN.

I play more games where I'm placed with random people i.e ranked matches or just online for the sake of it than I do with people from my friends list. I know it's becoming a cliche' but a lot of the time on the 360 I simply can't stand the attitude/language/abuse/annoying nature of the people I'm playing with / against. Yes I know thats what turning the headset off is for and being able to block people but I don't want to be doing this all the time :/

I feel like the PSN is for people who want to be able to keep themselves to themselves but can still talk and be competitive without having to ignore / shout back at other people. Live is more 'Bustling' if that makes sense.

Either way I've never had trouble finding a match for any game on either system, just comes down to a matter of choice / opinion :) As do all things :)

to be fair, regardless of what online system you go on, whether it be 360, ps3 or PC your always gonna get tards that have problems (attitude/language/abuse/annoying). if someones really bothering you that much just mute them :)

id say theres only more of them on Live because Live possibly has a lot more subscribers than PSN currently (I don't actually know if this is true or not, just what I think). Give it another 6 months to a year and PSN will be full of them too, especially when Home is released

I agree with pretty much everything that's been said. Live has the best online expirience at the moment, no doubt about that... and i dont even own a 360. But i think things will change once Home is released for the PS3. Some of the features of it are nuts, and the interactivity is off the chart. Some people may see it as a gimmick, and might complain about Sony not releasing it at launch, but i think once released, it'll put the PS3 right up there with every feature that the 360 has, and it'll be free. Ok, maybe it wont have gamertags and achievements, but personally i can live without those. :p

Is multiplayer the only thing you're interested in as far as your console choice goes? Not interested in Bluray or anything like that?

Not really bothered about films ect, watch all them on my computer anyway and i know mostly everything about the consoles in general anyway, it was just online experience. ;)

I'd go with the XBox and Live. Primarily because I still can't get the PSN connection to stay connected for more than three minutes and can't get a download speed greater than 40MB/hour!

This weekend it gets wired and see if that fixes it...

.

Question is i love online, so which has the best online gaming ? 360 or ps3 ? what kind of things are better on X console for online gaming?

ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT ...

FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No really if you don't have a wired connection you'll have to spend 95 quid to get your 360 online. 60 for the wireless dongle and 35 for live subscription.

Not trying to sway you in any way. I have both just pointing out that overlooked fact. (Well I overlooked it when I bought the 360 :( )

360 ~ Pros more functionality (uniform friend list, ingame messaging, cross game chats, custom soundtracks (incl. streamed), achievements, more games, xbla has more content than PSN, more OcUKers, more demos, content first (COD4), more trailers, movies
PS3 ~ wireless built in, free and it does the basics and home will bring more

To be honest, I don't look at it as which is better. When I sit on the console, I use whats available, I don't spend my time picking at problems. Unless it's 100% not working.

I sit on the PS3, And I fancy gaming online, I do it. I fancy download the demos available or games available I do it.

Same with regards to 360.

I wouldn't buy a 360 just for the content of live, Nor would I buy a PS3 for what PSN offers.

I'd buy the console for the games available, Next Gen or Backward Compat. And then I'd see the online environment as a bonus. Aslong as the games I buy work online, Then I'm happy.

One online thing I'm looking forward to is home however. But god knows when thats due, I'd just buy the console you fancy the games on. And then make do with the online that's provided.

As neither is bad.People just like to say so, because they love their ickle wickle console, koochee koo.

Is it just me that finds more are annoying the people that actually take the time to type an insult to you on the pc than just shout one over a mic? Got to say I love the live service, never played a PS3 so can't really say anything about that. On a noise issue though I've never noticed it, it's sat next to my PC which is far noisier anyway.

two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse (PSN) quickly gave up and drowned. The second mouse, wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard that eventually he churned that cream into butter and crawled out. Gentlemen, as of this moment, Xbox Live is that second mouse.

Love that lol, someone has been watching catch me if you can.
