Afternoon All,

I've tried to find the info I need using google, but all I keep getting are hundreds of links to 360 hacks. I'm thinking of picking up a 360, but I live in Asia. Hence I will have to source mine from Singapore.

What I want to know is, are the 360 games region specific like DVDs are? I don't want to purchase a 360 and then find out I can't run games purchases in the UK. I don't care if movies remain region specific, as I have a stand alone DVD player. I'm assuming I won't have any PAL/NTSC problems, as most TV's now can coupe with either format?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Cheers

The 360 itself is region free for games. However the games manufacturers could put a region lock on the title if they wanted to.

So the answer is yes you should be able to play many UK games on an Asian 360. However there may occationally be a title that may not work.

Thanks for all the replies, think I understand the risks now.

da_mic_1530, I'm based in the Capital City, Bandar. I guess your mate lived in Seria near Kuala Belait. Thats where most of the Shell people live, quite a big community still. Bandar has a bit more going on than KB, buit it's still pretty quiet. As you've been tto Brueni, you'll know exactly what I mean!

The hotel you mean is the "Empire", it certainly is impressive. Think it's one of the best in Asia, just a shame you can't order a nice cold beer while sitting at the pool. The rooms are ace, fell in love with Egyptian cotton while staying there.

Thanks again All.

Cheers
