Xbox 360 reliability worries

Realy you think they would even of invented the 360 if it had a good chance of not working at all?

Also you ever heard of warranty?

I believe the 360's they churn out now are probably more reliable than some of the launch ones because it will have been out a year soon .

Is it possible to buy this extended warranty for the 360 in the Uk? I can only find info on this on xbox.com AU, not on the Uk site.

My 360's warranty expires in December like most of ours, and I must admit I am a tad worried given that, that month will be incredibly busy for downloads and marketplace content.

You can phone them and do it over the phone or send back the coupon in the box. They allow you to do this anytime. I did it 6 months into owning mine.

Hey guys,
I was hoping you could maybe help me...
Im hoping to get a 360 tomorrow, but reading LOADS of posts around the internet about the 3 rings of death, has put me off.
Im sort of stuck between really really wanting a 360 (just thinkin about PES6 and GOW makes me feel fuzzy inside :D ) or listening to my (probably irrational and stupid) worries

Having a proper dilema here lol :(

Any advice would be very very appreciated :D

Had mine since launch and its been perfect, its crashed a few times but i did leave it on all night

Its the reliability of the customer service i worry about. My Xbox 360 has been broken (keeps freezing after about 10 mins) since early August and i have rang them up about 5 times, but still my Xbox 360 is wrapped up waiting to be picked up and repaired. Maybe its the fault of UPS, since their return shipment stickers keep getting lost.

I presume that my warranty will still be valid after one year though, since i reported the problem in August. Tommorrow i will talk to them in a slightly less polite manner :p still, great console overall.

Yeah, thats what I kept saying on loadsa forums until mine started freezing and redlighting completely out of the blue :(

The new one is going strong tho (and it IS the best console ever, reliability worries or not) :)

Get them to email you the delivery labels if you haven't already done so, they should arrive within 24 hours. Print off, stick on box and call UPS :)

I love to start a debate :D

Go on then explain how "better" the 360 is say over the NES or SNES for example!

Cheers :)

How do Microsoft expect to compete with Sony when they release games like Street fighter 2? It looked like it had graphics from 1991.
