Xbox 360 Slim?

It seemed (could be other things) that the PS3 Slim was an out and out success.. If done correctly, it may have some impact on sales, especially of the price was right!

As for the design, they would need to make it 'slick' with touch controls or similar and really compete with the PS3 on a design level (MS don't normally do this).

The slim doesn't have touch controlls.

I've still got an original 60GB model with a 320GB hard drive

All that would do is drive up the price though, whereas MS have probably benefited most from being at a much lower price point than the PS3 is.

No because good 360 exclusives are few and far between the ps3 is going to clean up with games like god of war 3, heavy rain, uncharted 2 , last guardian etc.

sorry but this just deserves one of these .......

Prove me wrong ? I had my 360 a year had about 30 hours use every good game that came out for it was better on my pc.
Don't own a ps3 but I know it's outselling the 360 lately and I put that down to it's classy exclusive titles.

And what do MS announce to combat these great games ? Halo reach  and now the ps360 slim it's embarrassing quite frankly.
I understand people liking the 360 that cant afford or have a gaming pc but for the ones that do just cant for the life of me see why I guess unless they have lots of friends that have one and don't prefer the pc.

Cant see this stopping the current trend of anti xbox 360 opinion gathering pace mainly due to lack of good exclusives and charging for p2p multi still, not to mention the overpriced ms only peripherals.

What's next from MS ? an hourly rate for using a 360 ?

No one needs to prove you right or wrong, all that you're proving is that you dont like the 360s selection of games. And you're touting your opinion as fact, theres plenty of games coming to 360 that im looking forward to.

Why should I or anyone else need to say or prove anything?

Not read most of the thread so I apologise.

lmao 360 haz no games :D The 360's games catalagoue is utterly massive. Strange how the NPD data for Feb put the 360 outselling both the Wee and the PS3?

The slim is coming, we all know it was going to eventually happen due to the rapid rate at which hardware is evolving. As for the HDD, the package itself could end up being redesigned, as it is a guarantee'd money spinner for MS.

My only concerns is that if there is an integrated CPU/GPU solution, which is a great move - it still better having some good cooling behind it. Obviously a new smaller package will mean that it also consumes less so I definately reckon we are looking at a much smaller psu than before. Possibly enough to be integrated.

Good lord. I've just been utterly blinded by your total ignorance and arrogance. Welcome to the ignore list. No time for such narrow minded morons.

For some though the X360 platform can work just as expensive and will always lack the Blu Ray movie playback.

Wifi dongle (PS3 built in)
Rechargable batteries (PS3 Rechargable built in)

I think MS will go down the value route and give retailers the ability to offer good bundle packages that offer nice discounts.

Will be interesting to see how Microsoft tackle the "It Does Everything" campaign of Sonys.

I'm just looking for an excuse to swap my Pro and I think I just found it. I'd be happy to change it for a slim 360, assuming that the overall design is an improvement.

If its real should solve rrod, or at least make it uber rare with the gpu/cpu combined.

i think with all them connections the hdd would be internal, would make real sense if they added wifi to, altho the heatsink still looks rather tall which means it wouldn't be that slim

It's going to need built in wi-fi for me to be interested. Much as I'd like to play online with my 360 owning friends, I'm not paying extra for wifi and don't particularly want cat5 cables snaking round my house. Until then I'll stick to my PS3.
