All I did was plug the drive in via the Transfer cable, then configured it in System Settings > Memory.
I was even playing Gears of War 2 off of it yesterday.

And the performance was fine? No lag atall?

doesn't give me the option, all i get is 'transfer' or 'clear cache'...

maybe if i try formatting it first... i will be back!

yeah, couldnt see any files on it when i popped it in the laptop.

There are some files in a Xbox360 folder, if you unhide hidden items.

Although it was just three files and nothing that looked readable.

The occasional stutter and pop-in from the textures but it was still playable.

No idea then, I did format mine awhile ago so that might do the trick.

Well I ordered a 16gb stick as I knew this was coming this week, however I was previously using a 512mb memory card (the official ones that plug in the front).

I cant work out which is faster, the memory card or the usb stick - whatever the case I haven't noticed any difference in speed.

I nearly payed a stupid price for a 512mb memory card the other week aswell, pleased I didnt bother

Been searching, and just wondering if anyone has found any benchmarks ?

Be interested to know what the preformance is like, also when using an external usb drive ?

typical they brought this out not long after I bought a 64mb and a 256mb official card

Oh well finally has something that SHOULD have been there in the first place!
