Hi guys.

Are there any good alternatives to the official xbox 360 wireless adaptor...it seems a little steep!

Has anyone been having trouble with these at all?

As my one says "Disconnected" in the diagnostic screen when checking wireless connection.

It done it once last week, powered the console down, checked the connection, powered back up and was fine, but now it will not connect at all.

Anyone know/heard if there are faults with these?

I still have mine, havent really used it tbh as ive got my 360 hardwired to my switch in my room.

So its just sitting there gathering dust, really should sell it i think lol:p

I've not had any problems with mine.

I agree that it's a little steep, but it integrates very nicely and there's a lot less messing about compared with using a generic adaptor.

I have one and when I used it it worked flawlessly, but I guess it all depends on the quality of your wireless router. My experience in the past has been that many wirless routers are a bit shoddy and you have to live with dropped connections and frequent reboots.. nowadays they seem a lot better and my netgear one seems pretty robust.

Might bung mine on MM as well as mine is now sitting unplugged due to having the router next to 360.

I've got the Linksys WRT54GS router with speedbooster (in upstairs office), going to the official 360 adapter (downstairs lounge in extension) & it works perfectly.

Would defo recommend the Linksys routers. :)

Sorry Nok but i have to agree with sermad £60 quid is steep

It is steep but they have you over a barrel, the seperate ones are bulky dont fit neatly onto the console and often require their own power supply, stick with the MS version.

One of the reasons the official one is pricey, is it does a/b/g. Not that have the 'a' support is all that useful to most people, it does add to the cost.
