I didn't even know Divx will be supported, does it allow any sort of Divx or just licenced ones?

Can somebody explain why Xvid support is good? what use does it have?! I am confused to why this makes the 360 any better? I am intrigued to see whether I can use it that's all
Because:
1) lots of people have illegally downlaoded films/tv shows/porn etc that they are gagging to watch/stream on their 360s.
2) lots of people want to get rid of their illegally modded xbox1 consoles which they are currently using to view the aforementioned content.
3) lots of people wish to watch low resolution pixelly content, often encoded poorly, on their nice new HD console/HDTV.
(there is a 4th group of people who will claim all their divx content is legal but they are known by anothe name aka "self righteous liars"
).I do not fall into any of these 4 categories.
