I would say he watches them through a series of mirrors connected to a distant families house in america :p It's like streaming, but at the speed of light :D (although i'm unsure on sound... i didn't think that far into it :p)

theres a thing called a webcam and a microphone, and the internet, you could do it over msn maybe?

My xvid/divx is of high quailty but then i do not get mine from S***torrent or any other toilet thats on the internet. :D
 
The thing I find most exciting is the ability to fast forward / rewind using the triggers. Comes in very handy on the PS3 when you want to get to the good bits. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

What time is the dash update?

Going to be working from home today and I'm wondering what time the dash update is.... Want to try some of that creamy divx goodness :)
 
Major Nelson's site says 2AM PST ... so I guess soon... can't remember if PST is 7 or 8 hours behind us. Anyway, should be before noon :)
 
Hey guys just browsing the News and came across this about the update, thought it would be important for you guys to know
Microsoft has issued a warning of an unfortunate problem that has been found with one of the features of the new dashboard update for the Xbox 360.

The update allows you to change the email account (Live ID) associated with your Xbox Live Gamertag, which is an incredibly welcome feature, and one that has been requested since the consoles launch.

Right now, however, if you go and change that email account you will in fact lose all of your forum posts, community user level, and icons earned at the Xbox.com forum. All posts made by your account will appear as ‘anonymous’. The team at Microsoft are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible, and we’ll let you know when this has been achieved.

Right now though, if you value your CUL, Icons, and Forum posts, do not change your Live ID. The fix should be here in a few days.

I have the same problem wink, wink ;) :D

But yea, I think this should have been a feature in the 1st place...
 
I wouldn't get excited about the whole Divx/Xvid debacle until it arrives and you actually know which of your videos work.
 
XVid/DivX streaming has been possible for the XBox 360 for a while now, albeit with an extra lil program running to do the converting for you. This update should make the whole process much more friendly now, nice one M$ for listening to demand for a change... which is odd really don't you think?
