Just had an email from nvidia to state that xbox game pass games are now on GeForce now..

Always been the best cloud gaming platform in my opinion, with this addition I might just be resubscribing to the 4080 plan..

XCloud always worked but was never as polished or with the same low latency as GFN,

Couldn't see a thread so thought I'd post for those not aware :)

It's suppose to be the very best at cloud gaming and hence why this could end up being very popular now that GP is available on it.
Just wondering if anyone has any real world experience. I tried Geforce Now years ago, had a very limited game choice, not subscribed since as generally put off by cloud gaming due to latency.

You could try their free account and test it out for yourself.

You can now also link your Steam, Epic, GOG, Ubisoft accounts to geforce now.

I have the mid RTX subscription to Geforce Now.

Here is me gaming in my local this morning.

Playing X4 off my Steam Library on my Microsoft Surface 9 Pro. Using my phone as a mobile hotspot.

Gives me a RTX2080 and all settings on Ultra. Silky smooth.....

This game has brought all my gaming laptops to their knees over the years and/or drained the batteries super quickly. In fact historically, the only way to play X4 at sensible performance on a gaming laptop was plugged in.

With GFN; I can play the thing on a MS Surface, on battery, without compromising battery life.

I've tried a couple of GP games too and it's just as slick.

Is latency noticeable at all? Thats impressive it works off a phone signal. Are you on a 4g/5g signal? Useful to know factors involved in the performance.

No latency that causes me issues.

On mobile it's tethered on a Vodafone Unlimited plan and varying from 20Mbs 4g to 100Mbs+ on 5g.

Was getting c50Mbs and 50ms ping this morning reporting as 4g.

Meant to add.

The only issue I have come across so far is where the game is both in my Steam and Games Pass libraries.

You have to disconnect Steam in account to play from GP as it seems to default to steam as first priority.

I haven't found a reliable workaround yet.

That would be more GPU horsepower for sure, but would that reduce latency with game graphics settings being equal?
Well running a game with equal settings @ 240hz Vs 120hz should lower latency. How much of that is noticeable and will translate to streaming, I not so sure.

If you click on the game it should have a Steam option and an XBOX option in the top right corner. You need to select the latter.

I am on 5G and get around 1.2 Gbit download speeds and my ping is usually around 10. Tested Geforce now and it's silky smooth.
I would not have expected such low latency using a phone connection, sounds impressive. May be hard to justify having a gaming laptop.

This is what I am wondering too. Ultimately one bottleneck will be the end users connection speed and latency too.
