Why am I so crap at multiplayer games? After losing every race I've played in PGR3, now I get to come last in GRAW, too - beaten by a schoolkid no less. :mad:

Does everyone else out there literally play multiplayer morning, noon and night? I want something which I can just pick up and play and have a reasonable chance of winning without being slaughtered every 5 seconds because I haven't learnt a goddamn map inside out.

And what's with Uno? There never seems to be anyone out there ready to play when I try joining a game. I'll end up going back on to my PC at this rate! :D
 
Nope, bar GRAW last night not played over live for quite some time.

Im usually rubbish with racing games, yet i was pretty damn good on PGR3 i think cos i played it so much at launch, just got good at it. FPS is more my strength, rubbish at sports games to - things like FIFA i just suck at, tis not always about winning though, just the atmosphere - especially when you know the people.

Like playing GRAW and me and Krono would randomly attempt to kill each other (despite being on the same team), or id re-inact a "wheelbarrow" style sex move on his girlfriend mid game ;)

Im just good at games as soon as they come out. I seem to be able to pick up a game pretty quickly and figure it out. But then i get surpassed by the guys who can afford to spend every waking moment on it.

But sports games tend to be a bit different. Theres no real pattern or technique to figure out with decent sports games. I really enjoyed my Fifa game against Tunney last night, although its my first loss, it was hilarious hearing each others reactions.

haha I know what you mean, I win about 50% of my PGR3 races though. I'm rubbish at console fps games though as the aiming is awfully inaccurate most of the time.

I do indeed dislike the fact that games reward playing them 24/7 too much. It makes it hard for people with real jobs to do well online with them. I'm a student for another year, I dread my rubbishness after this time :)

Dude, before my 360 was dead me and other Ocuk'ers including McDaniel would have races and stuff and once i was in 2nd and McDaniel was in first and he finished the race 35 seconds ahead of me :p all the other ocuk'ers were going nuts!!! but still its a good laugh. and i still managed to spin him out the next race :p

Thing is mate, you gotta remember its a game, just sit there and chill, if you lose, who cares? just have fun :) when i send my 360 off and get my new one back im going after McDaniel again. I'll get him! :p

Maybe you need to add me to your friends list..

I lost 10 out 10 races :eek: on my first time on live with PGR3 a few nights ago..While playing against some ocuk forums members..

And as for GRAW..I haven't even finished the first mission yet..

If you want a PGR3 race, add me and offer a race, I have yet to beat anyone but mr Kreeee due to having no technique at all. :p

He was just having a bad day. :D

Everyone mouths off about how good live is but looking at my overclockers friends list very few actually use live.

I'd love to know who this mystery players are that use live morning noon and night.

and Kreee, you seem to have a real chip on your shoulder about aspects of Live, the gaming, achievements, etc..

Im not quite sure what the problem is - theres no real game ive found atm that makes me wanna play on Live constantly, maybe a good FPS will change that however

You probably need some more practice on PGR3 and then you will start to win some races , if you use the online career mode i recommend you try to have more races on gotham duelling that way you stand as good a chance as any , and try to pick the best car in the class of race .

MIKEL11 if you want a race some time ;) .

GRAW (am still on first mission)
Burnout revenge (played this once)
Ridge Racer 6 (Played this twice)
Fightnight Round 3 (i owned this for 2 months and still not played it)
Tombraider (completed)

ill add ic1male and a few others to my friends list if i may. fellow crap gamers unite!

the games i play online:

graw: completed single player and enjoyed it, but new to it online and awful at it. its about knowing the maps i think

burnout: played this a bit but always at the back of the pack by a long way when playing online

ping pong: this game is great and i dont think im too bad at it with friends or against the computer, but everytime i have played on live i get humiliated (it being 1v1 i presume)

dead or alive: i have got quite good at this (think of it as a "rag doll simulator"). online again however i get spanked senseless which spoils it a bit

pgr: im not to bad at this. you can find me online usually in the middle of the pack or sometimes up front (when i have a little luck the start)

perfect dark: not played much online but co-op is tremendous fun.

joust (yes joust!): never anyone on to play. so if anyone has it please add me to your friends list

as a footnote i find a lot of the time if you have a friend online and playing a game there isnt an option to join game. does anyone else find this most of the time?
