Xbox live vs Playstation Network

The Xbox 360 was built with Xbox live in mind, PS3 was an added feature later on. Which is why its worse in this generation, the PSN will be more than fine on the PS4 even now PSN is much much better value than Xbox live.

Hmm, the back of the PS3 Slim has very bad ventilation. The cables were getting hot and starting to warp due to how much heat is created. My 360 Slim however keeps so cool and makes near to no noise at all. Although, the PS3 made quite a lot of noise. Mainly when playing full HD content and downloading items (probably due to the CPU usage going on).

XBOX seems to be able to handle online pressure and HD pressure amazingly, plus the graphics on the XBOX are slightly better than PS3's (from my view again).

Not sure what any of this has to do with PSN or XBL. Presumably you have a faulty PS3, I've never heard of anyone suffering warped cables and the 360S certainly isn't quieter.

People shouldn't keep their hopes up for an amazing network on PS4. From what I see it has already been achieved on XBOX/XBOX Live already.

You are clearly biased, there is also another free game during the month, yet to be announced.

Will definitely be a recent title, as in released in the last 5yrs

At the moment, here is how I see it...

Xbox Live is the better service - no downtime, secure, smooth. Everything you should expect from a paid service.

PSN - my main grumbling point is the download speeds. I could probably download the entire internet on Xbox live in the time that a demo on PSN takes to download

However the free games on PS+ are amazing. Even Xbox Live's attempt to give away free games hasnt started too well, the offerings so far have been quite poor.

Going forward, I can see PSN getting better however as a service it will take a lot to topple Xbox Live from its pedastal.

Personally, since psn is currently free, I think it's awesome! Although with the next gen, once they iron out the kinks, I think it won't be far off xbl. Kinda wish Sony gave some info on their servers like the Xbox did at its first viewing thing. Or has Sony already mentioned it?

I dont think Sony has mentioned anything about servers
