Xbox live?

Just a quick question about live. I have one Xbox and it has live, now can i buy another Xbox for upstair and use the live with this?
Is it the user account that has the live or the console?

User account, but it wont let you save it on 2 xbox's at once you will need a memory card.
Or have to download it everytime you want to use it.

Its the account that has Live, you wil have to buy Live for the other console unfortunately unless you want to recover your gamertag on the other console everytime you want to go online with it.

So could i have the account on my main machine, then switch it off then recover tag on to second machine?
But only use one machine at a time?

Basicly if you recovered the gamertag to another xbox it makes the first one invalid and you would have to recover the first again which would make the second invalid. (Can only be valid on 1 xbox at a time)

So the only way to do what you want is;

1) have to recover it every time you want to use it on a different one.

2) By another gamertag subscription

3) Put the gamertag on a memory card and plug the memory card into the xbox's

Right ok memory card would be best option i think, unless i get the other half interested in a PS3 for downstairs..

Remember that you can only be signed in at 1 place per gamertag so you both couldnt be on the same one at the same time.

Stick your profile on a USB stick. Plug it into whichever box you're using, even at a mate's house or whatever.
