Xbox One Elite Controller worth it?

Love mine to bits - just got it a couple of weeks ago for ~£60 (minus discounts and additional game bundle I got it with).

Well worth the premium over the standard cruddy controller - my second Xbone S controller last two days before the A button started sticking.

I don't use the paddles - just use it as a normal controller. The main feature I really like and use is the lock for the trigger buttons allowing one to switch between FPS and driving games quickly for example :)

Thanks for the feedback.

Zoomee - Bar the faulty button how does the Elite stack up against the S controller? Seeing as you do not use the paddles is it only the trigger lock and the on the fly profiles which set it apart?

I am coming from an Xbox 360 pad so I am thinking either the Elite or the S controller will be an upgrade. Its mainly the reports of failed Elites and the promise of a revised Elite with bluetooth which is putting me off going for the Elite. I can pick an Elite up for £95 so not too bad a price.

It feels a lot different to the S controller bud. Not only are the buttons much better quality but the analogue sticks have a sort of magnetic 'spring back' which gives it a great feel. I didn't initially like the S controller - it felt 'cheap'

Premium buttons, better sticks, a great rubberised textured grip all culminates to a far superior product - and thats without using the additional 'paddles'.

I couldn't be bothered waiting for a bluetooth version - in all honest if I'm that bothered about wireless input lag I can just plug the thing straight into the console - Maybe thats why MS havn't bothered updating it.

downside is they couldn't even be bothered to supply a rechargeable battery pack! - the thing still takes 2 x AA batteries lol.

Haha the lack of a battery pack is silly, I have a play and charge kit in mine now.
What I really want is a charger dock for the elite but can't find any that work with this.

That's just the info I wanted to know. Thanks mate. :)

Does the bluetooth version have less input lag?

Only when compared to connecting to a PC with a wireless dongle. Wireless connections to an XBox One are significantly less laggy than connecting wirelessly to a PC.

It still has a lot more lag than a wired connection, and you cannot use it to connect to an XBox One.

I see. I knew about the wired connection being better for lag but didn't know there was an advantage using Bluetooth with the pc over the wireless dongle. :)
