**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Looks pretty cool but it's a shame the zombies are pretty much useless and unthreatening. Might as well have 1000's of pieces of plankton on screen and would be more of a threat.

Guess they had to dial it down to get all of them on screen at once, probably have to wait for DR4 when they can add some AI/functions beyond plodding forward.

But that's the style of zombie DR uses. If they added more AI, it wouldn't be dead rising.

Never played a dead rising before so not experienced the style. My gripe is that the zombies are simply not threatening or engaging enough. For example when your stood on a vantage point looking over 100s of zombies between you and where you need to go, there should be some sense of fear / thinking to yourself how the hell am I going to get through here. Instead you just casually pass through whistling along without a care in the world. It must be a limitation of what their engine can currently do rather than intentionally creating plankton zombies.

Got Watch Dogs pre ordered from Very as I got a tasty discount as a new customer, can I get it cancelled? Can I balls.

They're insisting it's already been despatched and to expect the item within 28 days. This email chain has been going on all day, and I can't seem to make them understand the game has been delayed (hence me wanting to cancel it)

Utter morons.

I could be wrong but I don't think it does come with a charge kit, certainly don't remember it in the unboxing video.

It can be charged by cable connected to the XB1 (and be used whilst it is) IIRC.

"Not played the games". I'm sorry but anything you say about the playstyle of the game after using that sentence means very little.

I dont like the DR games, but I have played them both. The zombie horde is far from trivial. You even watched the guy select "casual".

WTF are you special? I'm commenting on what I have watched on the video posted in this thread and elsewhere. What has not playing the earlier games got to do with personally not liking the passive nature of zombies in this game? You mentioned DR style, I said I haven't played the earlier games so am unaware of the style. One of the most absurd posts I've seen so far...

It actually turns out it's a complaint made about the previous games too from a quick google of reviews, so i'm not alone.

The zombies in Dead Rising are NOT passive when you're close enough to them. Yes, they're not aggressive when you're a bit further away from them, but it's not like you can casually stroll through them. If you try that in previous Dead Rising games, you will get eaten. Having watched a couple of gameplay videos, the zombies in DR3 act just the same way, and that's fine with me.

The two cables are for power and a HDMI cable.

Sadly you are right...

the Xbox One controller runs on AA batteries out of the box. If you don’t want battery life to get in the way of your play time on the Xbox One, you must purchase a $25 Play and Charge kit, which includes a rechargeable battery pack and charging cable. Either that, or you can keep your controller tethered to the console via a micro USB connection at all times. This connection will power the controller, but it won’t charge your batteries.
