**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

We don't know if PS4 does or doesn't have dedicated servers yet. You should probably wait to find out before making your decision. (if it's only COD you're really interested in)

The PS3 had dedicated servers, Gaikai has servers farms, I would think if it was XB1 that only had dedicated servers then they would have mentioned it.

I really don't get the hate with FIFA people saying well I don't like football so it can **** off.

Well many people don't like war, but they still run around playing action man in BF and COD.

A choice would have been nice for people who have no interest in football games. A lot of people will see it as paying for something they do not want. Yes it's included for "free" but its only there to try and justify the higher price.

I imagine there will be other games available before launch tbh...

I really hope so, it could have been any game over Fifa and I would have had some fun out of it to be honest. As mentioned its great for people who like Football... not so much for everyone else.

I really think they would pull in more customers had they offered a choice of game. I haven't played a fifa title since the Snes days and have no intention of doing so now, free or not.

Titanfall will also use dedicated servers from the cloud.

Stop saying "from the cloud"!!!!

These are the same servers that have existed for gaming for many years. I hate companies that repackage existing tech into new fancy words and sell it to people.

Technically any server not in the same place as your machine is in the cloud.

Titanfall will have dedicated servers.
COD will have dedicated servers.

You never hear PC people saying "this game is being hosted in the cloud"

Certain developers will provide dedicated servers for their games, some won't. To me that seems the same as last gen? I am sure some PS3 games had dedicated servers as did 360 games.

I think it just means that it'll be using Xbox Live's provided servers rather than the developer's.

I know, I just hate the marketing term cloud, and that's all it is, a term. We all know what it really means, sadly many consumers don't :)

Last gen MS provided servers for some 1st party games and Sony did for some of theirs as well. Just call them servers. Save the "power of the cloud" crap for when we see the power, not just hyperbole :)
