If you cancel your pre-order now and wait until next year you won't get any game for free, so even if you don't want it, it might be worth sticking with your current pre-order so you at least get one game for free.
 
Quinnays posts in this thread are hilarious. Love watching people like him getting SO wound up.

XBO is going to be better though, blates.
 
Hopefully everyone who ordered from Amazon will get it on release day. Surely all the consoles would arrive at Amazon at roughly the same time, giving them plenty of time to get them all shipped out for release.

depends how many they get and on what date.

The impression I get from the customer service guy was they couldn't get all their stock out in time for delivery on release day.

Can't agree more with the petty nature of them both. Like I say, I'm more intersted in the stuff the Xbone has, like the controller and games line up. If someone else tells me (without being moronic) that they've got the same idea but for something else, then fine.

- on the controller note, I wonder if we get any colorful ones for the One. I noticed the PS4 has them (and they look pretty bad If I'm honest), as I fancy getting myself a good one this time round. Hopefully we get the art ones like they had with Halo.

@ JanesyB, MS store for a day one xbox, then Forza Limited edition at game! You know you want to (especially with that C9 in the sig) :D
 
the whole we're better than the competition is marketing all over. Most companies are like it.

Look at Apple Vs Samsung as another example of a similar rivalry.
 
Well I couldn't sort my Microsoft store problems out and then the day one XB1 went OOS. The support guy did offer me a regular console with a physical Fifa 14 for £435 which wasn't too bad I guess until he said delivered by December 31st. FML. :P

Edit. It was £435, not the £345 I mis typed. :P

Yeah, at the end of the day it's all a matter of opinion and everyone's entitled to their own. It saddens me to see that the developers and higher ups themselves have to stoop to the level of school children and internet trolls over something that shouldn't even really matter - I don't care if the CEO himself said he thinks X game is the best, it won't make any difference to me if it doesn't appeal to me. I really do want to play some of the Xbox One titles, but sadly I can't justify the cost of both anymore :( I'll probably give it a few months and then get it. I really do want both consoles to do well, I'm not going to start flaming Xbox One owners just because I went with the PS4.

I'm not quite sold on the coloured controllers either :p I might be tempted into getting the Blue one if it dropped in price, but I'd rather get the regular one for the going price. Interested to see if the Xbox One gets any themed/coloured ones.
 
I never realised that MS Store was OOS. Thats a nice price, but December 31st?!!!?!

My current turn off for the Xbone was that unboxing by Major ********. What a total ******. "Ooh, look, a slot loading blu-ray drive." Wow. You've realised we don't want a clunky 'tray'.

Perhaps belittle was the wrong choice of word. I wasn't pointing out that you in particular was saying anything particularly annoying, it just seems that quite a lot of posters in here are very defensive and argumentative.

It just seemed to me that Quinnay was giving his reasons for wanting an Xbox One but some posters didn't think his reasons were good enough, then when he gave more reasons he gets criticized for being a fanboy and trolling because he's pointing out negative things that don't work for him.

Maybe im reading too much (or too little) into it however. The same stuff happens in the PS4 thread too don't get me wrong, it just seems to escalate very quickly and more often in this thread and it comes off as a very defensive thread to post in sometimes.

Edit - The charming post below almost proves my point :p

They went OOS as I was talking to support about my problem. I typo-ed the price, its £435 not £335 - at £335 I could have waited :P In fact I'm waiting for them to escalate the offer and ring me and I'll probably confirm it and see when it gets despatched, can always cancel.
