**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Really liked that - would be ideal to be watching tv etc and still get xbox one invitations instead of having to be 'on' the console as such.

I am still going with a PS4 to start off with but I do like the entertainment vision of the one. I wonder how well it works having the ps4 fed into the HDMI input on it... could be playing the next uncharted game on the ps4 and get an invitation to play titanfall with my friends
 
Oh now I don't know which one to go for again.
Anyone know if a US console will work in the UK? They have an external power brick, which hopefully only has a kettle lead into it and can handle both voltages.

It's about £100 cheaper over here.

If the brick is like the 360 one it wont. i blew up my US 360 brick when i got them mixed up and plugged it into the UK mains, made a nasty burning smell and had to reset my houses RCDs.

Most of the stock went within a few weeks, Give it a few days after, if you pm me on the launch day I can check the central hub on my next shift to give you an idea if you can get one or not

I know someone who now does a 'lets play' for pretty much every game he gets on steam. He'd be lucky if his total channel views were over 200, so god knows what madness we have waiting for us with these consoles. :(
 
Strange message from MS, is it official?

We have been hearing a lot about how resolution isn't a key factor, great gameplay is... yet they have decided to highlight resolution as an advantage here?
 
Willy waving I guess, as thats all i've heard from my friends is "PS4" and "1080p"!

Its like one big willy waving duel!
 
AFAIK Skype is integrated so effectively you can call gamertag to gamertag, but having a xbox live gamertag also gives you a Skype profile.. It is really just a way of branding the experience.

I expect that party chat will be the same as this generation but may also have Skype branding

it is part of a big push to that basically says you don't video call someone, you 'Skype' them! much like apple did with facetime
