So the new Xbox One S Controller is not only slimmer and lighter (and whiter) than the base Xbox One pad, but it also natively supports Bluetooth so will work with phones, tablets, Android boxes and PCs without the need for additional dongles or drivers!

I've ordered one to use with my laptop so I can avoid having to have a dongle hanging out the side of it (I have an XB1 pad currently). I will then move to using my XB1 pad on my PC but if I like the S pad I might get another one of those.

Anyone else joining me? Its expensive, but its now literally a single pad solution for everything.

I wonder if it will work on Playstation?

Will they improve the new XB1 Elite conrtroller with these features? Cos it looks less justifiable, now that a cheaper controller has features it doesn't have. I hope the GoW4 Elite has bluetooth. Will save having to buy one of those pricey XB1 dongles.

I presume these will work with the old xbox one too? If the textured grip is a grippy material rather than just printed patterns then I will definitely be ordering one, if not I may get one anyway!

For the controller?

Yeah, single controller on its own.

Yeah they use the standard XB1 wireless (so will work with existing XB1 USB dongles too) but now also include Bluetooth as well.

Just had am email from Amazon to say the the release of this has moved forwards from the 31st August to the 2nd August :).

Do I just need a standard USB Bluetooth dongle for one of these to work?

Any recommendations would be great, not looking at spending too much but I'd like something decent!

E: Found a decent Asus one for £11 on the Rainforest :)

to be honest i think any bluetooth dongle would work, if it support windows 10 as you are met to be able to transfer the controller from your xbox to your tablet and also to your pc... make sure it is the latest Bluetooth profile.

Been wanting an XBOne controller for ages, just been waiting for the right price but they keep mucking it up by releasing updated models. This new one being £50 is mental.
