This month I shall be buying either one of these consoles, wont lie not a massive console gamer but I'm only buying it for Fifa 17 and potentially see what happens in the future. I know there will be a lot of arguments for and against each console so I'll take that into consideration too.

I've Been looking at the bundles and found an Xbox One S 500Gb with Fifa 17 on Argos website for £249 or £279 with a second controller. I am yet to see any Fifa 17 bundles on PS4's yet though which is making me think is this going to happen soon? I know Fifa is due for release the end of the month so is it best to wait until then to decide or get one ordered now ready for release to avoid disappointment?

Microsoft might have the rights to promote fifa 17 maybe, just a guess.

PS4 generally plays games better and then there's the ps4.5 coming soon, so maybe wait and see.

Either if its just for fifa really.

Which do your friends play? (online?)

Otherwise, get the xbox one S with fifa 17,i believe there's a code floating about in the xbox thread when buying from tesco (10% off)

I prefer my Xbox just because I prefer the exclusives.

However.. if FIFA is all your interested in. Makes sense to get it on ps4 as it is more powerful.

Will you be playing with friends online? What is their preferred console?

i own both consoles, i enjoy xbox more due to dash and features, controller miles better and xbox live is cheaper and better service.

plus new xbox s is better all round console vs ps4 slim seems very cheap and missing 4k player

for FIFA i get xbox if you enjoy FUT due to players costing half price and graphics are same on both console.

If your comparing an xbox s verses a current ps4 , the xbox everytime due to it having a 4k player

I'd have to disagree - PS4 is the best for its exclusive games AND for multi-platform games - the xbox can't touch it for grunt.

The Xbone however I'd only recommend if its got exclusives you really want to play (Like GOW for me) or if u really must have 4K support.

If your going to buy an xbone now it's pretty clear cut to wait for and get the S model though - worth the little bit extra for future proofing and you'll get more for it when its time to sell ;)

I prefer the PS4. The interface is less clunky, everything is faster to get to.

Multi-platforms run a fair bit better on it, 80% of the time at a higher res.

I just dislike the fact that if I buy a multi-platform game on the Xbox, it will most likely run at a lower res. It grates me that some games are running at 720p in 2016.

For me it's really simple - buy the console your friends have. Both consoles are pretty great IMO, both have great exclusive games, so I'd go for the one you can play with your friends. It's why I'm primarily a PS4 player these days.

controller is the biggest difference between the 2 consoles for me

would only buy driving and FPS games on the XB1 due to the controller, I like the XB1 controller for high action/when you end up gripping the controller tightly sort of games, games that use the triggers a lot

third person/adventure suits the PS4 controller better, more relaxed puzzles etc

Crikey I've really put the cat amongst the pigeons here! I'll give it a week and see what happens I think judging from what has been said here. My mates are pretty much all PS4 gamers an my only gripe with PS4 is that they all seem to moan about the controller sticks being poor quality and buy covers for them.

I do like the idea of FUT legends as I will primarily be playing FUT (I am currently on a PS3 and decided enough is enough and I have to join the next level consoles) I don't have need for 4K as my TV is a 720P plasma which I don't feel any need to upgrade as I quite like it!

Has there been talks of the PS4.5 due to come out by the end of the month or is it all speculation?
