It is when most people hate Kinect. What about people in tiny rooms lol.

Kinect and Windows 8 OS out the box, new ways to watch TV on your um TV, always on DRM and no used games. Yep Microsoft really on a roll with the new Xbox. I really wander who this thing is aimed at...

Not sure if serious, id take this tot he other thread tbh and also read up on the new kinect and what they have said about used games..
 
Yeah at this point I think you got to be a serious Master Chief fanatic to want an Xbox One. It sounds like the console of Ubisoft's dreams.. Always on DRM, no used game sales without more money. Pay to play online. This thing is just made to milk people.

It's actually funny that people are defending Microsoft on this.. Wow.

Yeah cos that's like always on DRM and having Kinect watch you all the time. yay let's joke about it and pretend we all like to pay full RRP for a used game and find new and exciting ways to watch TV on our TV's..

Stop with the sperging about things you don't like about the new Xbox.

I'm not particularly interested in having one myself, I'd sooner have a PS4, but I don't feel the need to make multiple threads ranting about non-issues.
 
Wouldn't think their would be Xbox fanboy's on a PC website like this. Does make me chuckle, all defending the DRM box. Microsoft are ripping you off fools. Oh well.

Not ranting at all matey, just linking to the latest Xbox One news. I thought most sane people would agree that these decisions made by Microsoft are terrible for gaming.

Not sure how you can call always on DRM, Kinect always on required to function and no used game sales 'non issues'...

Didn't realize it would bother so many fanboy's as this is a PC based website lol. No one forced you to read or post in the thread did they.

Not interested in you getting weird with me with about it, it was literally a heads up about how bad the Xbox one is looking. I honestly thought any normal gamer would just point at it and laugh at it, all these new features are terrible for gaming. Each to their own lol.


Thread can be merged or deleted. I really don't mind.

For a start they haven't said what they doing in regards to second hand or online drm.
It's just people posting crap, doesn't help that MS hasn't clarified anything.
It's also how people hate extra features, extra features are very important to the console market.
Consoles are no longer just a box for playing games, people can't justify the price a lot of the time. They can however make it a lot easier to justify when it plays netflix and has all the other features as well.
How do these features detract from playing games? They don't.

Defending DRM that hasn't been announced yet, wait for E3 and see what their actual policies are, rather than jumping on an unconfirmed bandwagon.

But this info has already been posted in the Xbox One thread, in fact you probably already complained about it in that thread. The new Xbox is clearly not for you so why not just get over it?

MS sold 24 million Kinect with the 360, do you think these people leave it plugged in all the time or go and take the cable out when not using it? How about the wii sensor bar did you complain the console would not function right without it also?

Hmm, yeah you must be right mate, I mean it's not like we all have TV's or movie players of some kind already...

I mean it's only 2013 yeah, yeah we all need the Xbox to watch TV and movies, we can enjoy Kinect scanning our room to charge us more per viewer. Fantastic !! That's the kind of always on DRM service I just love. What would be really cool is I could be charged even more again to play 'online' on my always online Xbox One.

These are the reasons for me choosing a 'Gaming' console...

Stop trying to tell me what to think about. I think it's terrible for gaming. You think it's great. Each to their own.

Yes, but you keep going on and on and on about it, and bringing it all up time a and time and time again by making new threads, and posting things across multiple threads. It seems very unlikely that you're going to buy in to the new Xbox, so why are you concerning yourself so much what MS do with it?

Also, how exactly am I fanboy? (that's also not how you use apostrophes)

Lol, get back to reality.

I have an xbox 360 as a media player. As do many people. Console aren't just gaming machines and haven't since the last gen. A lot of people use such features and you lose nothing by them including it.

Microsoft's director of programming, Larry Hryb, admitted there had been some "confusion" around the policy.

He wrote on his blog: "While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.

"Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios."

So lets wait and see what their actual policies are when they confirm them, then get the pitchforks out. Until then it's nothing more than speculation.
