thank you in advance

What model is the tv does it not have a s-video jack in the side.
Some tvs no longer support s-video over scart some only support s-video via one of the scarts normally scart no 2.

telly only has 1 scart at the back, no matter where i put the scart adapter whether in the back of the tv, freeview box, dvd player still Black and white picture + the dvd player has s video slot at the back and theres ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURE when plugged into that.......

If the tv cant accept the s-video signal then it wont make a difference what you plug the scart adapter into.

So what make is the tv does it not even have s-video input on the side either.

the make is "BUSH". it doesnt have s video on the side it is just a FAT TV, sort of like this. its not old but not flat screen omfg new as its just for my room and i dont use it at all usually.

Do you not have the normal xbox lead with the red/white/and yellow connections that you can plug into the scart instead of the s-video lead.

Prob a long shot but on some tvs in there menu system you could alter the type of input the scart socket would accept but i doubt the bush has this also try looking for pal/ntsc setting aswell.

how much is that???

i also have component cables, red white yellow on one side, long dangly wire and white yellow red jack on the other side almost like connectors. can they come in handy

If you have the component cables just ensure the HD switch is set to TV or Normal (forget what the term is called) and just use the red and white (for audio) and Yellow for video :)

Wait... Xbox ORIGINAL doesnt have component cables. I mean it does but you have to have a US or modded xbox like I do.

COMPOSITE cables however is the yellow lead. Plug that into the scart adapter along with the red and white audio cables.
