Xbox Series X fan cooling system

I think the user isn't being fair as they've not asked how you store the xbox. Is it in a totally open space or in a TV unit, so the air pushed out the top will hit something and reduce the flow as it goes away?

My first one only had about 3 inches gap above it and it would get warmer than I wanted. Now I have a newer one and changed the space and it feels cooler just because air flows better away from it.

If you can't have a nice open spot, an air cooler may help if not just to help spread that "free" heat around your room and reduce your heating costs :D

it’s in a open area behind the tv (sitting vertical). So yes, I see where your coming from..

Doubtful. Mostly just a con, to get people to spend £40.
Exactly, I remember the 360 ones back in the day that melted and killed Xbox's.

I'd imagine these third party cooling systems end up drawing additional power and adding to the heat you're trying to cool.

Cooling system on the Series X is pretty good. You should hear my PS5, sounds awful in comparison! Definitely a snake oil product, or worse in some cases like the old Nyko systems.

I would just make sure it’s clean dust free perhaps give it a blowout every month.

That is great advice and all but haven’t touched mine in two years  perhaps I should do that as well.
