Xbox Series X wi-if internet

That's possibly due to higher take-up meaning cross-talk or higher contention.

MissChief really is the master of this info though :p

That’s not it... The Speeds , even before you get to average, are advertised lower max.

As an example... you can’t seriously say the now max speed of standard broadband hasn’t been nobbled to help promote sales of lowest fibre? Broadband when it came out was 24.... it’s now half that.

@TALON1973 Where are you seeing this? I think the max you're quoting is what they think your line is capable of so they're probably being pesimistic.

I'm with Zen and easily get what I pay for 80/20 which is from when FTTC was released what I can remember on the Openreach network being the top package

On the subject of wifi on the series x, I have found that the download speeds are a lot higher and at a consistent level most of the time. Not changed my internet at all and on xbox one x I would get anywhere between 60mbps-140mbps, sometimes a little higher.

On series x I normally get a steady 200mbps+, sometimes it drops a little lower and sometimes it can go as high as 280mbps.

This is on VM 350 broadband.

I guess the series x must have a better wifi chip inside or xbox have just improved the speeds their end?

Yeah it definitely utilises more of your internet, I'm with VM 350 but most of the time speed test at around 385/39.

I tried wifi and it was pulling 250+ with drops down to 200 and with ethernet it's drops are around 290ish and highs are 370/380 which max my connection.
