just recently started happening when i turn off my xbox the screen goes black as it would lights on the xbox go off but its still running :S and then sometimes the fan goes really fast so i have to turn it back on and then off again, any idea what it is?

Yea it's linked to Cloud I believe. It's finishing the cloud usage update, don't worry it's normal!
Guessing you've noticed it since the last update, right?
If you have background downloading (or whatever it is they call the "sleep mode" download system now) enabled, it often does this. It'll keep downloading anything in the queue before it properly shuts down and can be quite a nuisance because of the noise it makes.
