XBOX Wireless Controller for windows 10 Advice please

It depends on which version you buy. There is a boxed version that has "For PC" in its name that comes with a dongle. The normal Xbox controllers do not but you can use any BT dongle AFAIK.
 
Hmm...I've seen one that comes with 1 controller , 2 battery packs , and one vs2851 twin docking station, but it does not say much else apart from its for XBOX One and Windows 10 .
 
What happens when you pair the controller to the PC? What goes pfft about it?

I use a DS4 via bluetooth just fine with my PC, the software makes it masquerade as an Xbox controller, it would be ironic if an Xbox wireless controller performed worse.
 
Well the pc shows the controller as paired / connected but thats about it , are there steps I should take and steps I shouldnt bother with, My gaol is to use the controller wirelessly for one or two games thats all I want to do :)
 
USB Connection isnt the issue with the Conrtoller , it's the wirless connection that's the issue ....and I think I'm not gonna take 2 or 3 days to try and set it up....just gonna stick with USB.
