xbox wireless headset

I assumed he had read that before posting here. Which it appears he had.

Indeed. However it now suggests the headset he has is faulty if it will not connect following the procedure layed out in the manual, which lets face it, is far from complex. Of course it could be user error, but I would never go as far as to suggest that ;).

I can't honestly think of anything else that would stop the headset connecting.

What can go wrong in the following>

Power on console.
Power on headset.
Press and release console connect button.
Press and hold connect button on headset for one or more seconds.

Provided only one controller is connected to the 360, the headset will assign itself to that controller.

sorry to intrude on the thread, but dont wanna make one just for me.

Does that mean you cant have 4 players with wireless pads and controllers? or only 3 players if using the headset? or what?

Also how do the batteries work on the headset?

Yep, it can support four controllers and four headsets, but according to the manual you must pair the forth headset BEFORE the forth controller.

That's extremely odd

Aye, I guess its a glitch in hardware (or maybe even software), as it can take four of each, but there can't be four controllers paired when you pair the forth headset. I don't have four controllers and four wireless headsets to test with though :p

when i first tried to connect my wireless headset, it kept assigning it to quadrant 2. this kept happening while following the instructions in the manual

how i got it to work.....

turn on console via joypad, then just turn on the headset and it assigns itself to the joypad (quadrant 1) has worked like this since
