You do realise that the space for feeds inside satellites isn't unlimited? Each feed is independent, whilst it can hold a lot, I don't understand how you could think not charging for it is sensible?

They gave an additional service and you expect them to give it away for free?

No you misunderstand, the feeds exist regardless of whether the boxes have the ability to record and an extra coax cable running to them, the satellites don't provide a feed for every box, they provide hundreds of channels over a few sats all the time, your box either records these or not, the costs are the same for sky.

It's like saying an extra signal has to be sent when you record something from freeview on your vcr, it's not, you're simply recording whats always there.

It's not a additional service, it's a function of the hardware.

Finally got round to turning on the xbox and installing the update.

Don't know what you guys are complaining about ... It's a very nice update and perfect for where ms is going with windows 8 and apps.

BTW It came up on the dash 3 months of gold for 6 quid. Is that worth it or will there be any gold weekends coming up. Sorry I don't use the xbox much

I think it is pretty cheeky that i need to pay for Gold to access 4OD, Youtube, Demand 5 etc on the X-Box. Services that is free from their main source and other platforms (iPad/iPhone). I get why they charge money for their online gaming but come on, it cost money to sign into Facebook?

Spotify are another bunch of crooks that need a red hot poker up their ....... You need premium to get API access for use on phones/xbmc

The beacon thing is really starting to **** me off now.
I start a game and get a message saying "so and so wants friends to play *insert game name*) I look on my friends list and this friends isn't even playing the sodding game!
Or the another annoying thing is somebody has a beacon on,I send them an invite and they ignore it

They do it because they can. People just keep accepting it, so they'll just keep doing it. Oh p2p gaming, lets charge for that, people accepted, rather than saying dedicated servers or no deal.

Not just xbox users, consoles users in general seem to happy to just roll over and accept most stuff for some reason. XBLA have crept up in price, when the first 1200 rolled in, people done nothing but moaned, then paid anyway and now they are all pretty much 1200.

Content being left out by developers to sell back to you as dlc later, still people roll over and buy.

No point giving anything away for free, when they know people will object and then roll over and pay anyway.
