Dunno, this could be a good if they keep to the original formula.

Agree with SS though, the original will always be better than any updated version.
 
I loved Golden Axe in the arcades in the late 80s but I don't know if bringing a new Golden Axe out would be a good idea because it was a classic game and it should stay that way.
 
Massive GA fan, its my 3rd best arcade game! Was overjoyed to hear the news about it coming to XBA :) R-Type remaining now :D
 
Streets of Rage and Golden Axe.

Same game, side scrolling beat em up wave after wave, with new graphics and a slick frame rate would just rule.

I know they won't just do that, but for pure re-playability Streets of Rage 2 player was the best; so many times through!

Now I liked both games way back when but golden axe took no gamer skill. Button mashing boredom it would be after 5 minutes these days.

I really dont understand the need or want to play 2 meg games on a triple core system. Buy an old mega drive. Fair enough if they want to charge a quid per game but anything more is just pointless.

There is some skill involved. Like trying to time those daft jumps that you have to do over the odd bridge, or facing two death knights when you've got one cube of power.

From the looks of the screenshots, we're not looking at your average 'simple' looking conversion.

Two knights, skill? Sprint, head butt, sprint the other way head butt and so on :p

Ive never yet got a nostalgia game from the past that hasn't weeeed all over my memories.

I mean i played R-type til my fingers bled on the Master system. Get to level 5, die and start all over again. Can you imagine doing that today ;) Imagine the whinging you would get. Now that's a challenge lol
 
I always used the amazon and thats not just because I was a little perv oh no I also loved her Maxed Magic attack where a massive dragon head would swoop down breath loads of fire and slaughter everything. Talk about pwning the enermy. :D
 
The ammount of retro games I would like to see on Live is huge, I could go on and on about the good old days. Oh well showing me age now.
