Xbox360:Play and charge for showoffs

mmm yeah. concidering they are basically just 2/3 the size of a normall AA cell with an end cap, they'll never last as long as a decent set of aa's. nice idea but it all seems a bit pointless:)

plus the fact it doesnt charge when the console if off is another annoyance.

Err, yes it does

(well, unless you mean 'off' in the sense that the fans arent whirring, then fair enough)

I have got one but I'm severly dissapointed on how long it last's as it doesnt last half as long as a decent set of duracell batteries. The charge plug is a cool idea but I'm using it far too much for my liking, plus the fact it doesnt charge when the console if off is another annoyance.

Can't say I've noticed any problems with the battery life, and these USB batteries also won't charge with the xbox off, so I still fail to see how they are an advantage over standard nimh or the p&c kit (whichever you prefer).

I just plug in my play and charge kit and switch my xbox off. Charges just fine...

Did they solve the problem where it would start draining the battery again once it was charged?

The box switches the PSU off when its done charging. Never heard of the problem you are speaking of before. :)

USBCell batteries have a capacity of 1300mAH which is in line with most NiCd and NiMH batteries though some do go all the way up to 2500mAH

and they come in doubles aswell :)

I'll get one probably.

Decent if the PC is used a lot more than the 360, but yeah, would want more hours out of them before i would buy a set

I had that. Charged it, left it plugged in for a day or two when I wasn't using the 360, went to play and got the low battery flashes again. Thought my battery pack was duff :o

It was a well known problem at launch, I assume they've sorted it with recent updates though.
